I'm on the fence about this show in general, but I did love how tone deaf Pete's come-back-to-me speech was. All of the reasons he gave Jess to win her back were completely related to his life and needs and zero to do with her or with love.

That whole seen was inexplicably tense. Between the CPS lady was acting weird as shit and the phantom creaking, I thought something awful was about to happen, but… no.
You can love someone without LOVING them, if you know what I mean. I love my best friend and would be really mad at Dar Adal for killing her, but it's not romantic.
Such an unfair comparison!
I would have said the same thing about Quinn at this beginning of this season, but lo and behold here he is right in the thick of things lol
I HATE it. The combination of his Alex-Jonesisms and and ridiculous southern accent is a bridge too far. And it's made all the more jarring because of the far more nuanced performances of the rest of the people on the show. You're paired up against Danes, Patinkin, Abraham and Friend and THAT'S what you come up with?…
In addition to Eugene's well-established fondness for safety, I think he is also somewhat romanced by the fact that Negan sees him as valuable, not a joke, like many of the Alexandrians do. He's being given a job that suits his particular talents and some authority - probably an intoxicating prospect, even if it…
I suspect other players see him as being a little bit useless, particularly since they don't get the benefit of his great soundbites like we do.
YEah I think that's pretty common especially for returning players who know how much they will lose and how much they can spare.
It might TECHNICALLY be the south, but in 2017 (or whenever the hell the show is now set), NoVa is not really known for its southern feel lol
Every Friday, I do a full recap with pics of the dishes, etc. on Disqus (you can click on my profile to get to my Discussions). We would love to have more people join us for the conversation!
I'm sure that if her potato salad actually tasted good, the mayo would have been a secondary concern. If she had made a nice German-style potato salad, she'd still be there.
I know awards aren't important, yadda yadda yadda, but it feels damn near criminal that neither Rectify nor any of it's cast members will win an Emmy for such beautiful performances and writing.
I agree with like 99% of this, but for some reason the clothing didn't really seem like an intentional choice in that regard (but I could be misreading). I could totally see her showing up in regular jeans and sweater, but she sort of made the effort to dress up and that's what she came up with.
I was irrationally annoyed with Fiona's funeral garb. It's not like she doesn't own other suitable clothes (we've seen her in a suit in the cup company era and generally conservative clothes most of this season). Season 1 Fiona maybe, but not this far in.
I enjoyed how he thought that a clean polo and chinos was going to be the outfit that impressed Negan.
Can somebody explain why he just went running off into the woods? Are we supposed to assume that he could see the tree guy from the car?
You really have to get him with a sniper shot, right? All the communities hate him so you'd never know who to blame.
If she had any sense at all, she would have had his reluctant ass teach her how to make the damn bullets so she could just take him out of the equation entirely.
Not for nothing, I might be able to take Carl more seriously if he would take off that stupid fucking hat. It made sense when he was like 10. Not so much now.
