I’m hoping that Walker (who has my favorite Marvel superhero code name) is used to represent America as it exists, contrasting Wilson as the better America that could be.

In the comics, Sam Wilson retained at least his flight wings as Captain America.
I’ve always hated this take. The fact that all of his stats are set to a human 10 is itself a superpower. It is not humanly possible to be both the fastest person AND the strongest person. If I remember correctly, he also doesn’t produce lactic acid, which is effectively superhuman. I think the most accurate statement…
I think there’s a few major issues at play: superheroes are still ostensibly targeted at children, so the US in particular has a lot of hang-ups with kids seeing any depictions of sex beyond a quick make-out (and I’d wager some kids would just get bored with sexy stuff, depending on their ages). This is what happens…
My understanding has always been that Spike Spiegel is specifically Jewish.
Busted out this mash-up of Cyclops styles for LA Comic-Con and plan on using it again for the WeHo Halloween Block Party. Apologies for the poor photo quality.
Agreed. That was a superb passing of the torch and the only time I've been relatively OK with Damien.
I have a confession: If there’s a trailer for a horror movie that comes on, I use that time to go to the restroom, because I get scared.
Hell yeah, Arclight!
Tis is what happens in Endgame, too, although more subtlely. Prof. Hulk is far more outgoing and confident than Bruce Banner, even to the point of losing a couple IQ points (like where he regards his janky time travel as a "complete success").
I’m a 30-year old man that doesn’t really game anymore (my last console was an XBox 360 that my college roommate ditched). But Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon S&S have really piqued my interest. I also don’t really have anyone to game with, so barring any great sales, this is something I’d…
Agree on Solo not having the mysticism, but I would say specifically for me, I need the spirituality. I don’t even need Jedi and Sith, just philosophical discussion.
This article has just made me realize that Kieron Gillen and Karen Gillan are different people.
It might be worth watching for the twist, which is absolutely bonkers
I would also like to know this. I guess some kind of partnership? But for what reason?
They didn’t address it very well, but I got the sense that the Resistance was like a militia, as opposed to the main military. Like the situation in Syria, with the Assad regime (New Republic, the “rightful” government), ISIS (First Order, the fanatical interlopers) and the rebels (Resistance, a 3rd-party also…
Dude what? Each of those characters are very well established.
I took my then-girlfriend to TFA, and she had only seen A New Hope. She really liked the movie (though I also like it).
I realized it when I wasn’t a fan of Solo: I need The Force for me to like Star Wars.
So my take has been the Wachowskis screwed up the sequels not because of filmmaking issues, but because they assumed the audience was as educated in Vedic philosophy as they are. After I read the Upanishads and learned a bit about Indian religion, I liked them a lot more.
