JJ is a better producer than director. 

I definitely don’t feel good about being a listener of Missing Richard Simmons. It seems like a gross invasion of privacy without his consent. Not my proudest listen. 

I’m not sure why he hasn’t left the show to do other stuff. He has a vast, vast collection of skits in the Cut for Time section. Brigsby Bear thoroughly proves he has the talent. He’s a great comedian who isn’t great fit on SNL, go somewhere else and be a success. 

The show worked because of fantastic writing but it also had that lightning in a bottle group chemistry. That happens when you have about 8 great character actors on board, many of whom have gone on to have very successful careers. I had a good time with most of Toy Story 4 but I can’t help but resent it a bit for undoing the near perfect bow that TS3 put on this franchise. It’s so hard for trilogies to end on a high note, I wish they had left this story alone

Shout out to the Wheatley movie Free Fire. It is chock-a-block with ridiculously talented actors (Armie Hammer, Cilian Murpy and Brie Larson to name a few) and it goes in a direction you will not expect. I definitely think it is worth a look.

Starting the movie by calling an ex a bitch is a really, REALLY bad way to start a movie. I can’t believe we let that fly even in 2009

A band that comes to mind here is Arcade Fire. They are just pure dance rock at this point. Nothing they’ve made in last 5 years feels substantive.
