“Humongous” has absolutely no application beyond our tiny blue planet. In fact, I have it on good authority that celestial bodies don’t subscribe to your puny human logic and the language by which they define themselves is so vast it would explode your human brain like dynamite in a watermelon.

Relative to us, sure, but when talking about galaxies, using words like “humongous” and “giant” should be reserved for galaxies sizes relative to each other, not puny humans.

Calling it “giant” is a bit disengenous, considering it is a dwarf galaxy, and among the several dozen dwarf galaxies orbiting ours, it isn’t the biggest. 4th biggest among dwarfs isn’t “humongous.”

You know, my knee-jerk reaction was to agree with you because I don’t like things that feel like an attempt to hide from the past, but then I considered how you explain B.C. and A.D. to kids when they ask what it means, and it really does imply that Jesus was a historical fact, which is pretty unpleasant imo.
