I think that depends more on the reviewer than anything; Blood Battle Blockade Battlefront got glowing reviews during weekly write-ups for example. I think it’s important that you find the writer who shares similar taste, makes it easier to read through and pick shows to watch.

Kino (2017) was absolutely TRASHED on the ANN forums but oh man, I had such a delight with how absurd the show as. Not one of my top anime of 2017 (more middle or low) but dang, it was fun, encapsulated by the sheep episode.

But it’s the shaking of the screen that’s a huge bother, not so much letting go and dropping the $300 game console.

Issue is sometimes you need to use“motion controls,” and sometimes that involves shaking the Switch itself in handheld mode.

Thematically, going through all 12 arcana the party faced over the year was a really cool idea, as it was a culmination of everything the group fought against.

Did not know that. That’s...almost worse. I mean sure he puts a huge burden on you to make a decision, but considering what he’s been through (well...both of you but him moreso), he really just wants someone else to take responsibility.

That’s one of the caveats I have about recommending the game (and I have recommended it to all my friends). How do you describe it? We use the term “NG+” but route C/D isn’t...really NG+ (route B can be argued as one, though there’s enough revelations and meta instances that I can try to argue it isn’t a NG+).

My big sticking point was that most of the main classics have been improved upon so much in later iterations (Mario Galaxy / Odyssey, Smash 4, every Zelda since, Mario Kart 8) that it’s usually difficult to go back for long periods of time because the originals haven’t aged particularly well.

And afterwards “well since I don’t have one arm...might as well balance things out”

Been a long time since I played FC, but generally the main characters remain kind of tropey in the first one. The thing is though, the first.... 80% or so of FC is set up. Like, it is a huge set up of Liberl thr country, the people, and to get you familiar with how things work. Then shit hits the fan (as they do in

Well games have always been about trying to generate profit for people, but now that game development costs are becoming more expensive than ever, publishers are trying to find the gold vein to strike it rich. It just so happens that sports in itself can be very lucrative, so they try to extend it to video games

That sounds really good. The character designs for the blades is...weird and a bit too sexualized for me but I don’t *often* mind anime tropes and I love exploring!

Duly noted about the cutscenes, that’s something I’m used to.

How is the game to someone who didn’t play the first or the spiritual sequel (no Nintendo console since SNES until now)? XC2 is on my to-buy list, though I’m wondering if I should bump up its priority...

No, she was born with it. The interlude in route B (Kaine’s memories) showed that she was bullied by the local kids because of her attributes, but her grandma (who had a mouth of a sailor) would protect her. Said grandma would be later killed by Hook, and during the fight Kaine got possessed by Tyrann.

No problem, I have trouble with certain terminology too so any chance to get things cleared up is a plus.

Though more gameplay does not equal good value.

As other people have pointed out, in the original game, Vincent wakes up next to Catherine with mouth agape, shock and flabbergasted, implying it’s after sex. More than likely this is after sex.

Just hermaphrodite, wouldn’t go that far with Kaine being trans as she was literally born with it. I believe Emil being gay was really only outed in Grimoire Nier and not as apparent in the game itself.

I remember Erica being outed in one of the endings (and being super lol about it), don’t quite remember the other moments. I *think* that she never APPEARS in the dreams though, she just comments that she’s been having nightmares or not sleeping well. The other bar patrons (who I THINK were all men...) DO appear in
