I have not commented in months for a variety of reasons.

I don’t have enough faith in SqEx to do a “revive” Aerith plot with justice and a light enough touch, but I’m biased against it. Someone else taking the sword (e.g. Zack) is fine, that’s different enough to be new ground.

And if Square-Enix did the “WE CAN SAVE AERITH” route then...Idk, I guess let people have their fun? Yeah, just let people have their fun.

Depends how they handle it. Been a while since I played FF7 (like, years) but one of the big themes was to be able to move on from the past. If FF7 Remake decides to go the route of “WE CAN SAVE AERITH NOW” then....well that is just plain dumb because it slaps the lesson of “accepting grief and finding the strength to…

I mean, is that really that bad...that she rejects her Palpatine-ness and chooses to be a light side user instead of dark side? That she can overcome what her blood entails and be more than genetics....

I wasn’t expecting a lot, but...that’s.......

And while “forget ‘em, Rey, they were drunks!” is by no means a great answer, it at least stops stonewalling her character arc.

This is my personal rebuttal and it just reflects how I felt about those choices.

Personally, S1's first opening (the aforementioend Raise Your Flag) set the bar TOO DAMN HIGH.

The story was practically the same....until you beat the evil wizard. Then the PS3 game goes into an extra story that feels super tacked on (...because it was).

To be fair, Man of Steel is a movie on Superman, one of the most well-known comic book characters of all time (no thanks in part due to a smorgasbord of cartoons, tv shows and movies).

Evil Jenny mixed with Joker from what it looks like. Idk. The laughter just throws me off but I have faith.

The amount of salt spilled if it comes to pass would be terrifying.

He got death threats after the original tv ending and EoE from what I remember
