I see them as two very different interpretations of open world games, and both are fucking stellar. No need to compare, they both rock fucking hard. That’s it.

Horizon is so full of little details, I love it. Walking in a city with the armor of the locals will make NPCs comment about it. It’s the little thing that

Shooting humans does feel sort of odd sometimes. Like... most humans would die from an arrow through their head, but they just stumble backwards instead if your arrows aren’t upgraded.

Humans don’t react either. They’ll either run in place and let you turn them into pin cushions or they mindlessly charge at you. Same as the robots really and they’re still arrow sponges too. The bow mechanics just aren’t that good compared to other similar games.

I don’t have any suggestions for fixing it, but the D-pad controls for traps and health are a little hard to use, especially under pressure.

although...every conversation with every guard at that outpost still has you asking where he is...even after finding him. And even after you do his quest, he repeats the quest-start dialogue.

It’s a good control scheme because it matches with the way you’d use a real bow closely enough to feel natural.

Honestly, the bow in this game is pretty shit and the awful AI(especially humans) doesn’t help. Its not very satisfying to hit enemies with it. The other projectile weapons are decent and good enough though and taking a Thunderjaw’s disc launcher and ripping it to shreds is super satisfying. Its just a shame that the

It’s just that climbing feels badly done, trying to find the right lined rocks or arbitrary yellow markers can be a huge pain in the ass when you see all these things you think you can climb but can’t.

Better than young Aloy. Young Aloy is the stuff of nightmares. I don’t know if I’m alone in thinking that something about her was very off-putting, but I was very relieved when I finished the tutorial section.

This is all well and good, but her hair looks like it’s some kind of hairy squid creature. It does not move naturally at all.

Actually, everything I’ve heard from REAL people playing this game (not reviewers) is that while the game is very gorgeous visually, it is literally nothing new in terms of gameplay. If you’ve played any of the Far Cry(s), Assassin’s Creed’s games, or even the Tomb Raider reboots, then you’ve literally played this

Are you just trying to pick fights with anyone and everyone? Not sure what you’re getting at here. Also, your avatar freaks me the fuck out.

Everything has lasting consequences, some good some bad. I’m not happy that Trump is President, and he is likely to be bad one. But it is not the end of everything by any stretch of the imagination.

Wow, you sure give up easy. It hasn’t even started and you are declaring the democracy dead because one guy you don’t like got elected.

“Et tu, wypipo?”

Hmmm, I notice your cultural appropriation stealing Star Trek for your name. You know, Straight White Internet Style Men dreamed up Next Generation and wrote that episode, right?

But since we’re apparently being racist here I wonder why you think straight white guys have the monopoly on anything on the internet, must

Here’s the exact same sentiment from a progressive woman. She’s not excited about seeing it, thinks it’s a bad idea, and goes further than Rolfe in saying that the gender swap is cheap, unnecessary, and outlines ways in which a more progressive view of women could be portrayed than the film attempts.

But then he also let himself become the character he’s been playing all these years in his apparent dislike of New Ghostbusters. So eh.

It’s OK not to like things, it’s OK to not like the new ghostbusters. Heck, he was very eloquent about his reasons.

New Ghostbusters looks like shit. The people who cried sexism at anyone who looked at this movie and said “nope” should be embarrassed. Especially since I really doubt those people went into, say, that Benghazi movie or American Sniper with an open mind.
