Yes, no disagreement with that main point at all from me. I’m just pointing out that Kirby is most known for The New Gods at DC, whereas Stan Lee’s later work at DC was pretty-universally-agreed-upon as flotsam.

Not to mention, the Flash movie has had a pretty lame box office so far, and Ezra’s escapades are probably responsible for a decent chunk of that. While the studio may have been pushing to give him a pass, it doesn’t seem like audiences agreed.

You could mostly argue this but also I think the Fourth World stuff is a masterpiece of comics and even Kirby’s lesser post-Lee stuff (like Eternals) is still pretty mind boggling today.

I mean, it’s still good that the entire production team doesn’t lose their job simply because Roiland is an asshole. They signed contracts for more seasons, so those people planned based on that.

That actual obvious choice would be to get Sean Kelly. He can do both amazingly well - and knows the differences between early younger Morty and the older Morty from current seasons - it’s just the right thing to do. No one - and I mean no one - would be able to tell the difference once he was in a real studio.
