Exactly my thought, too.
Exactly my thought, too.
Okay, next time, pick up the rubber hand and smack her on the head with it. Then tell her it's fake.
That's true, and that's why I don't think someone with a high voice needs to lower it very much, its more a matter of learning about adding fullness and nuance.
Alexander technique is fabulous! It's true about the diaphragm too. I found that when I learned to sing, and really control my diaphragm, my speaking voice improved even more.. so what you say makes a lot of sense to me.
I'm from Pennsylvania, and people there also have a sentence ending that doesn't exactly go up, but it doesn't go down either..kind of like you'll hear in some regions of the South
The exercise I do below is what I actually do when I have to sound YOUNGER..I raise my pitch until I feel no chest vibration and I do the character in that voice with a little nasal tone thrown on top to focus the tone. But if you do it backwards, it will work for a more modulated tone, too.
I do Voiceovers for a living and I'm very aware of other women's voices..and not in a good way much of the time.
You've helped me decide. Thank you! :)....and think of the potential fortunes to be discovered elsewhere!
I've lost 3 diamond rings so far. It kills me. One was my mom's engagement ring, and I lost it when I was an EMT.I must have ripped off my gloves and thrown them in the hazmat bin,and the ring with them. One might be in the yard and I think from time to time that I might rent a metal detector and search.
Yay! I've seen these at Ricky's in NYC and I'ma git me some now, thanks to you.
Yeah, but there are two causes of eye bags. Edema, and herniated fat. Edema responds to all sorts of things. Herniated fat responds to surgery.I'd worry about using anything, like vibration that might weaken the thin skin around the eye over time.
I have two favorites;one is Antonia's Flowers which is a small label..an ounce is about $60. My go-to scent is always Shalimar. I have a thing for fragrances from the 1920's. A weird one that I'm attracted to,but don't wear, is Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir.
They look like little baby Vampires!
I've never understood the appeal of this, even though lots of people obviously have a ball on black Friday. No saving could compensate me for losing sleep and squishing into stores with a lot of people.
I forgot to mention down thread, that I have taken small doses of Xanax(.25mg) for nearly 15 years for sleep (with melatonin;10mg) and it works very well. I've never increased my dosage, either.
I took it post surgery for only one or two days because it gave me the most awful night terrors..this "dream" of 'waking up' to total darkness and silence with no reference point of any kind. I was screaming and it wasn't easy for my husband to wake me. I never took it again.
How large of a family? Just curious!
I think it would be tragic to eat things and not even know I'd had them. All the fat, none of the fun.
Lauri Notaro, the essayist, has a great one about Ambien eating and Ambien emails. Her friends love emails from "Ambien Laurie".
I LOVE to watch Hoarders before I clean!
