Oh, I've done that both ways. If it's a wisdom tooth which involves lots of digging around, they give you the colonoscopy sedation..you won't puke, I promise , but you won't really be aware unless someone hollers at you to keep your mouth open. For a wisdom tooth, it's worth it.
