SuckMyLeft1...part 2. (It’s a Bikini Kill song btw)

Look, mental health is impossible to assess from the outside, and there’s no way anyone not part of Spears’ inner circle can really know what’s going on there. That said, if I kept my 38-year-old pop star daughter locked away “for her own good,” I’d probably deny it, too!

The writing on this website has gotten worse. She’s a 16 year old girl receiving death threats paying for off duty police officers to patrol her neighborhood. She’s not “funding” the LAPD and how much they make is irrelevant in the context of the story because you never connected it.

I realize Jez has been leaning extra-hard into that “cool girl” edge but making fun of a 16 year old victim of stalking and harassment is not a good look.

Honestly, despite this persona that comes off in some publicity, he seems to be one of the most humble and grounded actors working today. Like all actors though, his ability to “read the room” is somewhat limited, but considering his part time gig is teaching acting (or production?) at the University of Texas, he

Not sure why a teenager and her family getting death threats warrants a cutesy headline.

The cop tells TMZ that the family has been paying the overtime for local police to watch their home, a practice that will continue for “the foreseeable future,”

I’ll give the author the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad joke, but that’s a pretty viciously misleading headline. As read it’s basically accusing this person/family of racism.

Very confused as to why we are poking fun of parents protecting a minor child (and...making fun of that minor child) who has been experiencing death threats. Do not understand why the journalist or the editor thought this was remotely ethical.

There’s a lot going on right now with the police and, I suppose, influencers that warrants outrage. This isn’t one of them. Her family is paying police for extra staffing against a scary stalker. I can’t criticize either the influencer or the police in this particularly situation. The click-bait headline (“funds”),

I would go with Matthew Modine for Epstein.. he can play “Creepy Aloof” well enough to pull it off.

Her death really has stuck with me.

There’s more to it than that - for example, Black people often have pre-existing conditions (regardless of wealth disparity, although that’s obviously a factor) that worsen Covid symptoms. Asthma, for example, which isn’t limited to the poor.

Just goes to show Republicans don’t understand statistics. They hear that Blacks (and Latinos) are more susceptible and they don’t read that as Blacks (and Latinos) are more susceptible because of poverty and racism, they read that as there is something biological going on that makes Blacks (and Latinos) more

One of the Fox anchors just said that Black people are more susceptible to corona virus, which I thought was an odd comment.  It’s poorer people who are forced to live in close quarters who are more likely to catch it, as well as essential workers.  Herman Cain obviously does not fall into either of these categories.

He’s not in his right mind making those accusations though. As a bipolar person he is probably having intrusive thoughts/paranoia, which is especially worse in a manic state. You have less ability to reason with yourself when you’re manic, and less to no ability to be reasoned with in a manic state.

You are a king among men.

At one point in closing he tried to paint the litany of legal issues to do with his temper and violent outbursts as “isolated incidents” as though most men don’t manage to go 30 years without a single incident let alone one every 3-4 years.

From day one they’ve tried to paint all his behaviour as that of some weak innocent man with issues and wanted to side step the fact that a man with severe substance issues, a temper that sees him smash what he regards as objects, and a very violent and misogynistic thought process that reduces women to simply objects

For the issue at stake in this trial, re: the Sun’s headline calling Depp a “wife-beater”, I think there’s enough evidence to support that conclusion. I predict a ruling in favor of the newspapers.
