Fury isn’t the best example. Samuel L. Jackson’s likeness was licensed for the Ultimate Marvel version of Nick Fury. Not intended as a precursor to the MCU movies, it just worked out well for Mr. Jackson.

Frankly, we’re only at the half-way point of King’s run. I wouldn’t drop any Bat-titles you’re reading just because the DC/WB PR machine are fucking hacks. His books are going to be just as good as they were, and its not like he’s just going to drop this plot thread.

Hell, Luke’s characterization was what I liked the most in TLJ.

I’d go so far as to say it was his finest, he absolutely knocked it out of the park, IMHO.

He brought so many layers of emotion to every line that I could not pay attention…
