He got happily married and went into therapy and realized he was being stupid and childish.

As far as atrocities go I don’t think he’s as bad as Christopher Columbus or Chris Christie but he’s decidedly worse than Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Whereas one of the things Order does poorly is Fred & George’s “quitting” of school. I don’t expect nor do I ask for the movie to be word-for-word. Cutting Quidditch is generally an easy subplot to streamline a script. But in the movie, there is no build-up or motive for them to escape. They just... do.

I’ve always considered Half-Blood Prince to be by far the worst movie of the franchise. It cut out anything remotely fun or interesting from the book, but kept all of the angsty teen romantic drama as the film’s main focus, which is just an interminable slog to get through. Combine that with the miserable color

I always liked how Lorenzo Music was the original voice of Garfield, but was taken over by Bill Murray for the movies. Meanwhile, Murray originated Peter Venkman, but Music voiced him in the cartoon.

I keep giggling when I read his name because it sounds like a name for the social media account of a dude named Lorenzo who makes music.

Were we, as a society, too mean to Chris Pratt? Not in the sense that it was unfair of us all to collectively decide that he’s the “worst” Hollywood Chris, but in the sense that the general negativity we used to express our limited appetite for his whole deal ended up pushing him too far away from very valid

Lorenzo’s voice is music to my ears.

I suspect if it was any other actor, it wouldn’t even have been reported and noone here would know the film exists.

I always enjoy the symmetry of Bill Murray playing Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters, then Lorenzo Music doing the voice for The Real Ghostbusters cartoon about the same time he was doing the voice of Garfield, which Bill Murray went on to do years later.

This seems like shameless stunt casting and if there’s one thing Garfield stands for, it’s artistic integrity.

Well, at least that’s one of better sequence in series, I’ll give you that. Not enough to redeem the film in whole, though.

Agreed, I have no idea why Order is ranked so low here when it features the only good wizard battle of the entire franchise.

Probably easy for me to say, but Rowling is not difficult to ignore (at least in the States) and like you said, when I watch the movies I see the young actors who we watched grow up on screen. I don’t see her. Who would have thought the heart and biggest badass of the series would turn out to be Neville?

Ranking Half-Blood Prince as #3? The consensus is that it is one of the weakest films due to plodding plot and pacing. And that movie actually ranking higher than Prisoner of Azkaban, which is often considered to be the best of series with lot of heart and pathos? That film saved the series and elevated the cast and

Too bad the Discworld books are all inherently unfilmable. Unless...

No one needs to “defend” Hannah Gadsby’s comedy. She is brilliant. If you don’t appreciate her ability to mix pain and humor, it isn’t a reflection on her talent. And we don’t need you to take us seriously...

It reminds me about how Jerry Seinfeld said a year or two back that he wasn’t playing college campuses anymore because he didn’t want them to “cancel” him.

In all honesty, I would be able to somehow let this slide if he would just stop defending himself.
The clown in full make up is asking to be respected, as he continues to throw pies at people’s faces.
I can’t even begin to process how pretentious someone has to be to get to that level.

Real talk, I had been quit fucking with Dave a couple of specials back; long before any of the controversy... because he just wasn’t funny anymore.
