I like going to movies at the theatre.

Lmao what are you even on.

I will push him out a window and accept the consequences.

“Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy told Vanity Fair the studio learned its lesson with Solo. “

My only condition on hiring you is “don’t be Joe Quesada.”

Some wonderful bits in this interview. That making Kamala a mutant was their original comic idea. Her name.

“As a nerd and fan, I loved being able to throw down that mutation line and letting people make of it what they will,” executive producer and Marvel Comics editor Sana Amanat tells The A.V. Club. “But we always knew we would land on this, and it was an idea we had in the comics that we weren’t able to do. It was nice

true, but it’s not their singular creator constantly going down

Okay, I *really* like your point. I’m being hyperbolic about “nobody liking the Inhumans.” What you say about “Inhumans are the new X-Men” nails it for me! It was a weird initiative and... Black Bolt and Medusa and company don’t really work in that context, that’s not what makes their best stories work. They have this

...... Perlmutter IS up high.

I’m def over generalizing. The current screaming about WHY NO INHUMANS is eyerolling.

Oh, 100%. Yet one still doesn’t need to do a headline that blatant.

I’ve been a comics fan since I was five, and I’m in my forties now. Anybody who says they care about the Inhumans is a liar. They’ve always been at best weird foils/allies for the FF. Black Bolt and Medusa are cool, but the tv show was total garbage and the only reason Kamala was INhuman in the first place was

“Hey Perlmutter, remember when you made us sideline the FF and downplay X-Men so we tried miserably to make Inhumans happen? WELP”

Thank you, I felt very similar. Deever was incredibly hostile and obsessive... but there wasn’t any story to give her that motivation or sell it to us, the audience. We’ve seen Damage Control twice before. It was very weird, like part of an entirely different story we hadn’t been privy to.

The Karachi episodes had great stuff with the mother/daughter relationships and flashback, but Kamala felt like a passenger in both and the show sorely missed the Jersey supporting cast. This show should’ve been eight episodes.

polygon did it worse, their headline literally says: “A BIG MCU GUEST STAR”

good point. chappelle brought powerful, incisive viewpoints and comedic talent to material that related to his life as a black man in a racist af country.
