Sapiosexual should stand for “egotistical self-righteous prick who’s probably not getting any right now and can’t work out why”.
Yeah agreed, there was a comment on here for the finale review last season that was like “what’s the next spiral they’ll force Bojack into at the end of the season, stabbing Diane?” I felt a bit cheated to go back to the “Bojack messes everything up” well after season 4 didn’t really touch it.
That’s mainly why I only saw half of seasons 4 and 5. The show is good, but I could only take so much misery. I was impressed by the first season’s unflinching look at depression, then the following two seasons made such overtures towards the idea of emotional growth that I couldn’t take the relapses.
Hopefully now they can bring Michael Mando back to play Scorpion. His great in Better Call Saul and it can be another step into the Secret Six appearing.
Those are my exact same thoughts. I used to watch BoJack a few times a year, but last season left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn’t watch it again for almost a year.
Spidey and Tom Holland are great and all, but I’m just relieved that superhot Aunt May will continue to be in the MCU.
“The sixth and final season will air in two parts. The first will premiere on October 25, with the second following on January 31 of next year. “
I’m really not liking this season. It feels flat and the jokes are so so. I get the feeling Harmon doesn’t even want to be doing this anymore.
A Frankenstein’s monster inside of Pandora’s Box? Even now that he knows better, this man cannot stop combining things that don’t belong together. That quote is the Labradoodle of sentences.
“Serving content” is now on my list of most-hated words and phrases, just after “influencer.”
It sounds to me that Anna Farris, someone who works at acting, was trying to be funny and relating a story about how wearing braces affected her self-esteem and delayed having sex. This story can work for a guy too.
Every piece of discourse on this movie has been dumb as fuck. Nobody that wasn’t at TIFF or isn’t a professional film critic has seen the movie. We don’t even know how violent it will be! The trailers don’t actually make it look all that violent! If it’s as inspired by King of Comedy as people say... it probably won’t…
I mean, he’s literally right, in that the only platformed ones who expressed actual, informed concern (which has later spread like wildfire) are the presumably left leaning critics that described in detail the specifics of the plot and violence of a movie after Venice, and then said “I hope nobody sees this movie…
I’ve read this site every day for 21 years and its turn into a moralizing, political echo chamber is really boring. If you really think your hot take about the problem of someone seeing a film and causing violence is true, we should ban “Clockwork Orange” or “Natural Born Killers” or “Taxi Driver” because some idiot…
This post is itself a great example of commoditized outrage.
Ugh, can’t wait for this fucking movie to get released already so I can stop seeing hack bloggers pontificating about whether it’s the right time and cultural climate for this movie. For crying out loud, just don’t see it if you find it so troubling.
If there’s one thing we know about lunatics who are actually inspired to murder people because of movies it’s that they’re complete sticklers for context and nuance. The same guy who would peacefully watch John Wick will also decide The Joker is a call to arms and invitation to kill people because he can’t get laid.
