I read it as moppet thief, so I was imagining Hardy just slugging away at some small soot-covered Dickensian little child he's got pinned to the ground.
"Oy, guvnah! I was only stealing so the orphanage doesn't close down! Fagin's gonna have me in a fix, he is!"
Well, there's good news and there's bad news.
"Something I still don’t quite understand: Why the hell does the union guy who comes to shut down the Esplanade project drive around in a truck with a rat on it? I presume he’s an exterminator or something, but it’s such an odd little detail."

Emma Stone sucked all that potential away. There's only room for one redhead in Hollywood.
As soon as I heard the chorus at 30 seconds in the YT vid I just started mentally mouthing the "I don't want no scrubs" hook through sheer reflex. It might be priming since I heard about the lawsuit before hearing the song, though.
Upvoted not necessarily because I 100% agree with you, but because it's a damn shame that two people downvoted you despite the fact that you presented a thoughtful and well-reasoned argument without an ounce of invective.

It sounds like they've already lost the ability to enjoy music based on "Fashwave." Have you heard that garbage? Synth pop without 'African rhythms'? Calling that music is like calling an alcoholic chugging mouthwash in the clearance aisle of a CVS a wine sommelier.
That was my first thought when I saw her on the cover of EW a few days ago. "Oh no. Maybe this time she'll do something besides looking awkward and not move her arms when Hopkins starts droning on about robots or aliens or ravens or whatever."
Upvoted as a DC resident who gets the unfortunate implications of that joke.
Breaking News! Breaking News!!!!!
The WaPo was really the outlier during the campaign, however. Their reporting, especially Farenthold's, was a constant hammer against Trump's BS. They zeroed in on how he never paid veteran's charities after giving his promise to do so, how he used his own charity as a money laundering scheme, the PussyGate tape, etc.
It's weird how there were so many regulars there to flag down trolls, yet an easily identifiable tomato-based troll always reappeared and successfully landed the top post for like years. Half of the hundred replies he'd get were people telling others not to reply or fall for his shtick, yet there he was time after…
"… the black writers" should be changed to "the black writer" because LaToya Ferguson is the only black writer listed in the AV Club's staff. Ferguson also happens to be based in LA, which explains a lot about the use of 'Woke' making it's way into headlines.
Is this a bit? I can't even tell anymore.
The entire Kinja formatting system is a heinous idea. They moved The Root into the Gizmodo umbrella and it's a shadow of what it once was. The comments are now filled with "race realist" scumbags. I'm fearing for this site and The Onion if they do make the switch.
::Gulp::
The only host I get frustrated with is Henry. Being dumb is ok as long as you're entertaining, but Henry's is damn near insufferable. Last week he had to apologise for wishing that the senior Bush's would die. That wouldn't have been edgy nor even a hot take in 1990, let alone 2017.
