I find this all intriguing. So for places where it’s illegal....what are the repurcussions and who with (mother/father or midwife?). And how do you account for moms who had no prenatal care and didn’t KNOW they were high risk? Moms who unexpecterly give birth at home or in the car (this could have been me!!).

My parents have one from the early 70s(?) in their basement. It’s Marigold yellow. It actually belonged to my college roommate’s parents....they gave it to us to use in our college house, then somehow my parents ended up with it when we moved out of the house.
