yes! It's the equivalent of those little disposable cameras people used to leave on tables. Except bc they know everyone's just going to be taking iphone pics to share, it's an easy way for everyone involved to see those.

They don't. It's not really for the public, it's an easy way to sort pictures from hundred people of one event. If I am a guest at that wedding, I post a pic with the hashtag. When I click on the hashtag, I then see everyone else's posts from the wedding with that hashtag, too.
