I still can’t believe the Switch shop doesn’t have music.

We’re still waiting on this year’s lengthy “State of the Game” blog post from Joe Blackburn or Luke Smith. It’s supposed to come out sometime this season, and I sure hope there’s a big section on PvP. If not, man I don’t know. At least say you don’t have anyone working on it right now. Beyond “looking at Behemoth” and…
The Collapse and the Dark Age sound like two different shows. I feel like the former would have to come after more reveals happen in the game w/r/t the Darkness. The latter would be really cool, though. Lore entries talking about the newly Risen, Warlords vs. Iron Lords, etc. are always awesome.
Oh it’s definitely possible that it would be something totally different. Though I’m not sure what that looks like from a staffing perspective. My basic understanding is that studios hire people who are good at what they need, so most of the people who work there probably have a lot of experience working on shooters.…
My friends and I were chatting about this yesterday. “Expansion into other media” sounds mainly like books and TV to me (I hope they do animated if they go down that route). As a fan of the game, it’s mostly encouraging that they’re doing as well as they seem to be after going independent. And as a fan of the studio,…
Nathan, this may be your finest work. Your sacrifice was worth it.
This reminds me of the KEK hunter arms incident from the game’s launch. Those got addressed and removed. I’d like to think this will be, too.
I finished my Nightmare playthrough of DOOM Eternal and have also completed a replay of DOOM 2016 in Nightmare difficulty, and I am a little surprised to say that, in spite of a poor first impression, I am a full Eternal convert. I think it is the better game, hands down. The change in art direction is something…
I can feel this game’s presence everywhere. Friends of friends have been playing it. The other night, one of my friends dropped the trailer in our Discord server. It’s only a matter of time.
The music for the first boss fight in the Train Graveyard against the Ghoul has to be one of my favorite new tracks. The Whisper’s theme is also pretty good.
This is true for step 1 of acquiring the catalyst, but! The next step specifically says to defeat guardians with the bow. And so I am tested. But that’s ok. I’ve recently switched to playing on PC (before I was on PS4), and I need the practice.
I really like the new exotic bow. Trying to get kills with it in PvP so I can unlock the catalyst is definitely a test, though.
The worst part about this is that unlike Kevin Hart, she’s actually a great fit for the role.
Best of luck, Steven. Thanks for uplifting me from the greys.
I’m expecting to play a fair bit of Destiny next week when the new season starts, so hopefully I will finish my nightmare run of DOOM Eternal before then. I’ve been breezing through it, somewhat surprisingly. Playing on ultra-violence was good preparation for me in that I remember what demons will spawn and when in…
The bad signposting is especially egregious in some of the early levels. Something I learned quickly if I couldn’t tell where to go was to open the map. It shows climbable walls that don’t always stick out when scanning the environment.
It’s often deadlier for the player trying to use this thing in PvP than it is for their targets.
Yeah it’s amazing the bond you can forge with someone just by performing an extrajudicial execution on them.
I’m quite partial to exotic bows. Getting a new strike on top of the two old ones is a nice surprise, too. I also like getting a small glimpse of Crow in some new duds in that trailer, and the derelict Cabal ship at the end has me curious, especially since the exotic quest for the season is currently redacted.
I’ve been playing DOOM Eternal all week and wrapped up the campaign last night. I ended feeling so much higher on that game than I started. It just makes a really bad first impression with all the tutorial popups, combat systems, and upgrade trees at the beginning, at least compared to how I remember the seamlessness…
