I could be wrong! Conflicting anecdotes from others, and I didn’t keep it on very long.

My boss made me livid this morning for reasons that are just too long-winded and dumb to type out, but I’ve cooled off some now. Feeling trapped in this job because of extenuating circumstances sure does suck, though.
Turning on the Puzzle Solver will remove the puzzle-solving coin bonus from winning battles. On the one hand, that money adds up over time. On the other hand, the game showers you with coins in the last several acts, so it’s probably worth turning on if you want the battles to be as quick as possible.
I think I’m with Nathan and Ethan on this one. E3 doesn’t really feel necessary anymore? Fan-focused events like PAX or PSX or BlizzCon seem like a better use of everyone’s time at this point. But E3 had a certain raw excitement to it, all condensed into that one week, that was tough to beat. Games are pretty…
PlayStation Destiny player here to say: This suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
I had a couple of strange dreams last night, and one of them was about giant horrific ants infesting my house. I’m taking this to mean I’m stressed by a perception that I don’t clean my apartment often enough. But also dreams are dumb.
First Cow is on my watch list for some point in the future. I was watching so much Gundam alongside the Great Gundam Project that I burnt myself out on that and watching stuff in general, so I’ve just been sticking to my YouTube subscriptions lately.
That is 100% my usual MO, but I’ve just been craving Chinese food recently. With the quarantine and lockdown, I receded to like 2 or 3 places that I would actually go, and only ate at those places for however many months (years?) it’s been since then. But I do like to have a rotation of places to go. It’s only every…
Wrapped up Carrion this afternoon. That’s a satisfying little game. Got exactly what I wanted out of it.
I beat Paper Mario this week, so I’m going to punt on deciding what the next big game I play will be and instead play Carrion this weekend. I put an hour into it last night and am already satisfied.
It’s even prettier with the Cherry Blossom accessory. But yeah, one of the best things about the game is the doing-stuff-ness of it. The way so much stuff interacts with the hammer is great, including other characters. Nothing like giving the snootier toads a few whacks.
The timing on this is weird, but I never did go back for a second playthrough like I meant to. Sounds like that will be a good time.
It depends. I think normally I’ll play on either normal or the next step up, and then if I want to do another run, I’ll bump up the difficulty. But if I want a game to feel more like what I imagine that it should, then I’ll also turn things up. Like with the Witcher 3, I did the prologue on normal and felt like it was…
Stealing “Nintendo’s Ned Stark moment.”
I completed a solo flawless run of the Pit of Heresy dungeon in D2 last night, so I am absolving myself of any higher obligations for the rest of the weekend. I foresee a lot more Paper Mario over the next three days. Even though I have like a million caveats for that game, I have to acknowledge that I’m enjoying it a…
Ok, but when can we actually talk about Bob-omb? I need to talk about Bob-omb.
Tutorialization in the first hour or so is aggressive and elementary, but thankfully it stops pretty soon after.
Gooooood to know.
Reading this gives me the same feeling of looking up old message boards I used to visit and finding them deserted, but the old topics and archives are still there. I guess Mixer isn’t going to have anything of the sort left, but it’s good that the people who used it are commemorating it in their own way.
I’m at the point where I completely cede my mornings to small things like email and prioritization, then I exercise, eat lunch, and crank out a bunch of stuff in the afternoon. I don’t know if you have a time of day where you feel more productive, but if you can structure your routine around getting things done in…
