Didn’t even know this was a thing. Looks pretty faithful.

I enjoy the loose definition of platformer here. My top 3 are Hollow Knight, Sekiro, and Destiny 2. Shoutouts to Super Mario World and Mega Man Zero... 2. I’ll go with 2. They’re all pretty good, though.

I have once again fallen into one of those ruts where I’ve meant to be reading the book on my bedside table (Matt Leone’s Oral History of FFVII), but when I get into bed, I just turn the lights out and go to sleep (after scrolling through twitter and watching some kind of YouTube video). I’ve got plenty of books I

I still think about Hollow Knight a lot. It’s just one of the best games. I will drop everything the moment Silksong comes out.

This is just one of those Nintendo things that you can’t do anything but scratch your head at.

Nice, nice. There’s a fair few guns and secret things in that timespan that are worth getting into.

Will be interested to see what the current season extension looks like, but I view this as a great opportunity to play some other stuff in the meantime. Glad Bungie continues to balance doing good work without dire crunch.

Thanks! I was absolutely running Taken and Hive Barrier (I got lucky and pulled HB from Menagerie this week). For that reason, the Knights were actually the thing I had the least trouble with throughout.

Something that is not a (piece of) cake is soloing the Prophecy Dungeon in Destiny, and I did that last night, though not flawlessly. It took about 4 hours total. I’ve got to go back to the drawing board on some stuff if I want to do it all without dying, but I think I can do it.

I’ll read a couple more reviews, but I’m probably going to give this a shot. Kinda itching for something breezy.

I can only think that it’s some combination of Heat Rises + a weird interaction of holding a relic while on a slope, but there might be more to it than that.

Watching vids like this one always make me say “Excuse me?” several times. No exception here. The skip to the first boss and the sparrow tech in the ribbon room are worth the click, for sure.

Mine is pretty recent. I’ve never been motivated to get into the third-party controller market with their back paddles and stuff, but I was pretty quick to grab the back-button attachment for the DualShock 4. Took a minute to get used to, but now I can’t remember how I used to play stuff like Destiny without it. Turns

Travis Beauchamp, the guy who has spent 5 years making a follow-up documentary series to his original doc, The Smash Brothers, put out a heartbreaking update yesterday saying that after having been close to locking down a premiere for the new series, he now has to go back and re-edit substantial portions to remove

This thing is so much fun. My only quibble is that we already pick up and dunk so many orbs, I think a different sort of shape would have been neat, even if it took after a different relic like the Eye of Riven. But I guess beyond ease of asset design, combat legibility is also a factor. Every Destiny player knows

I like celery in stuff like tuna or chicken salad. It’s also good to load up with my mom’s pimento cheese. Helps if you de-string it first.

It’s not quite a toy, but I have an RG 1/144 Tallgeese kit sitting in a box ready to be assembled. I need to set aside some time and actually put it together. It’s the first such kit for me, so I’m pretty excited. I’m gonna need to find some space on my desk for it once it’s done, which is part of why I’d really like

I got all the way to the endgame of this last year before I was pulled away by something else. I still need to go back and finish it. I’m not in love with all the systems in the game, but the characters, world, and story were all great.

Hey Mike.
