FYI your translation is wrong, it actually reads:

Now where have I heard this narrative before...?

Amazon.com carries it.

Getting a bit of a Vauxhall Insignia Sport Tourer front end vibe here, albeit lower and sportier (nicer exterior version of the Buick Regal TourX for you Jalops)

I can see why it could be confusing. But similarly, you can say5 in English is “Five”’.

Also this: 5 in Japanese is “Go”, so literally the 555 livery says Go Go Go

Unfortunately for you, even though they are indeed raising the bridge, it doesn’t seem like they are doing it the way you are thinking and stroking your ego with.

I had the opportunity to test drive the models you mentioned recently. Based strictly on ride quality/comfort and road/cabin noise, the Telluride/Palisade is better than then Honda/Toyota, similar to Mazda/VW, and not quite as good as Japanese luxury brands, although close. Germans/Volvo/British are on a total tier

I guess the ride just wasn’t electrifying enough.

Had to shop for a compact SUV (wife preferred) recently because my STI broke down =(. We ended up with a 2019 BMW X3, and our decision echoed some of your points. The car will be used to drive the in-laws around a lot, so our top priority was minimal road noise, comfort, passenger legroom, and cargo space. Features

Even enthusiasts can buy “average” cars. I’m looking for a 2nd car for the wife and weekend errands, and top of my list are things like tech, comfort, noise level, cabin space and storage. Performance is a pretty low priority, and I’m generally fine with most cars as long as they’re not a snail and dangerously slow on

Wrong.

1) Fair enough enough, especially for Ohio, where another commenter mentioned, is bordered by no-front-plate states. Up here in BC, the only real market for no front plate is our neighbouring state of Alberta. Most used sales are local, so this argument doesn’t apply too much where I am from.

I don’t think you can really go with any other choices with Alfa. Here in Canada though, Alfa are pretty much unicorns. I think I’ve seen less than 10 in the past decade.

Gotcha. Those cases makes sense to me. Upon giving it more thought, my rant was more against people who put the mods on common, bone stock DDs, just to tell the world “Look at me! I’m an enthusiast!”.

Your friend seems borderline OCD to go through all that, haha. Does your friend have an F-type? I can understand if that’s the case, and she wants to retain its value as a future classic by keeping it mint.

Ah yes...your last paragraph summarizes my feeling perfectly every time I see the mod on an otherwise bone stock car.

Yes, I can see where you’re coming from. The thing is though, the setting changes you mentioned all add performance value. But having to spend extra time, albeit not too long I suspect, removing the plate to return the hook to its functional status, is an extra step I’d rather not have to perform. I’m not saying it’s

Why bother with an extra step that’s not, you know, needed in the first place? I could just keep my plates on when I hit the track. I’ve ran on track before with and without my front plate (it’s centre-mounted). The difference in negligible, and probably more from input inconsistency (me).

Matt probably meant most FF cars in general. Track/race cars will always get a pass.
