Maureen Dowd continuing to be horrible aside, I really don’t see this sense of “entitlement” from Hillary Clinton. She’s a hard worker with an incredible amount of experience, and it feels like her daring to show up and run for president gets her accused of entitlement. Is there anything that she has actually said

Depending on the role, the camera angle, the costume, and the hair and makeup, Mr. Stiller, 50, swings between polarities of trollishness and desirability. In some movies, he appears dwarfish and deformed with a head that’s too big for his body and empty space-alien eyes. He is of average height but looks shorter. And

A friend of a friend insists on being referred to as “ahumanperson”. I kid you not. Try working that into conversation... “Have you heard from Jennifer?” “Yeah, she...uh, I mean..ahumanperson called me last night.”Since that’s incredibly awkward and difficult to remember, we now just use ahumanperson’s name...Jennifer

Aspergers doesn’t equal homicidal though. Attacking cops with a knife isn’t a symptom of the spectrum — it’s a symptom of deeper problems which its tragic he didn’t find help for.

If someone lunges at you with a knife you have a right to defend yourself, I feel.

Okay, please, I want to establish that this was tragic and the police should not have shot this man. Two of my immediate relatives are trans and violence against trans people grieves me deeply.

Center mass.

This situation was tragic, and I am really sad about it, but I really had to point this out:

Adam and Jamie are old and slow, so the “knife-kill” distance is 16 ft. But I’ve seen scenarios with a younger and faster knife wielder. 25 ft wasn’t enough distance for the officer to safely react.

No such thing as shooting to not kill.

It’s amazing how desperately some commenters are looking for something to be offended by. “Wait, none of you feminazis are complaining about having to register for the draft? But I had an awesome rant about how sexist and hypocritical you all are! I know — I’ll just pretend being opposed to the draft altogether is

I do not want to just be contrary, but almost my whole academic career has been studying places where most people firmly believed “it could never happen here”, right up until it happened. One thing I learned for sure is that it could happen tomorrow, and we are unlikely to even predict what “it” will be.

It sounds fair to me. They need to take care of their rape problem first though.

Yeah, I don’t see the problem with this. And it is one of the constant arguments you hear from a certain segment of the population- if women truly want to be equal then they should have to register for the draft. Implying of course that women are the ones who had control over that decision.

I feel like they expect women all over the country to clutch their pearls as they loudly gasp, “No!” and fall upon their fainting couches, when really most people will be like, “Yup, sounds fair, you gonna mail that to me, or. . . ?”

“cis” isn’t a real thing.

Oh, FFS. I’m getting fed up with the trans community always acting as though they’re the most oppressed group of all time. It really reeks of entitlement and narcissism.

Enough of this shit. Can 2016 be the year where people don’t get offended about absolutely everything? If you want, you can be offended by anthing. Or you can think to yourself, “They’re not actually targeting me,” and just go on with your fucking life. The world is not out to get you. Quit acting like everything is a

Oh cry me a river and build a bridge over it. Was just a little humor, everything isn’t meant to be degrading. I’m sure shangela read the script and they asked her would it be okay and she agreed. I’m really tired of crybaby America. Not everything can be political correct or should have to be. We used to enjoy comedy

I thought Mulder’s response showed that he *knew* it wasn’t right to say “she used to be a man,” but the proper way to describe the situation to someone who was completely ignorant. As the toad character so desperately wanted to die because his very identity was now challenged by his body- they drew the parallel but

But the way this as written, her being trans had nothing to do with her being murdered. If that wasn’t a factor, then it’s disingenuous to include her murder with the ones that were murdered in hate crimes against trans people
