I don't understand the pipeline animosity really. Pipelines are by far the safest and most efficient method of transporting oil. I do love how 100% of social ills of late are somehow linked to corporate greed. It bugs me when that's the extent of thought people devote to a problem. The Guardian article says "it reveals how corporate hygiene has overridden human considerations." But is that really true?
