Yeah, I think it’s pretty underrated. I’ve never read the comics it’s based on, and I understand why fans of the character might resent the movie, but as a stand-alone thing I really enjoyed it. It had pretty good CGI (for the time, anyway), Shia TheBeef before he became insufferable, and my personal favorite movie…
The thing is, aside from the clunky comparison of his friend’s plights to that of Louis’ victims (since Roseanne has no actual victims), he didn’t really say anything that warranted an apology or further clarification.
Maybe it’s because I’m used to Hulu (they still have all of Community and Futurama), but I don’t see myself being all that bothered by the idea of ads on Netflix, especially if they’re just between episodes as opposed to commercial breaks within episodes.
What about those of us who really don’t care and are only interested in this show because we like dragons and vampires and shit?
Yeah, okay, but there’s a pretty huge middle ground between “the exact right thing” and any of the things he actually said, and anything in like the nearer half of that middle ground would probably have been fine, but instead he said this.
Sure, but couldn’t it have also been because the first movie wasn’t very good?
I liked Weaving as Red Skull, but honestly, with all the makeup, I didn’t realize that wasn’t him in Infinity War until I checked IMDB afterward. Maybe if RS has a bigger role in something later on it might make a difference who they cast, but for a cameo like that...

Indeed, I met an awful lot of people who, weeks after the movie came out, said they just hadn’t gotten around to seeing it.
I think what he’s saying in that first quote is, “now that Trump’s president, the stakes are too high for me to tell these stories when I would inevitably get details wrong.” Like, now it’s important enough that it can’t be just one person’s memory of what happened, it needs to be objective reality.
I didn’t see 5 either, but I’d say roughly:
Ok, well first of all thanks for proving my point about your biases distorting the facts to sort of vaguely fit your narrative.
Yes, your bias.
On the one hand I can almost admire your ability to be steadfast and hold to your position in the face of all logic and fact.
Two things, etc.
I’m a bit upset that you used up so many butt puns in one post, but you did it artfully enough that I’m willing to turn the other cheek.
C’mon... He was a cop who shot a suspect in custody 5 or 6 times point-blank. I’d assume he got a few weeks’ unpaid leave at worst.
I think your assumption that people like this understand the basics of how insurance works or that they’ve thought critically about their position at all gives them too much credit.
