He sounds like one of the left-lane campers I see all the time around me. I hate that.

One time I was riding shotgun with a friend of mine in his Ford Explorer when we had a guy threatening us. I don’t know what got him started, but I first noticed him when he passed us on a highway that was was 2 lanes in each direction, then quickly pulled in front and brake-checked us. After my buddy easily avoided…
Well they failed on their marketing big time for that. Anyone who would be in their target market has had no idea what a Venza is when I’ve suggested it. My dad didn’t even recognize it when I showed him one six months ago. I think it’s great for people who want a comfortable ride and don’t really need an SUV, but if…
Seriously, $2.3 billion in revenue and $22 million in profit is not commendable. Especially when everyone knows you’ll be gearing up to build a new model in the next few months. If the Model 3 ships on time and they start showing significant profits once deliveries start, then I’ll be impressed. That’s at least a year…
We’ve got four cars, a one-car garage and a long one-lane driveway. Typically only 2 cars are in use, but when you need to get that one in the back, it’s annoying. One is for sale, so that will help things a bit.
How does the lift work with the garage door? My dad has 12' ceilings in his garage, but without looking at it I feel like the garage doors take up most of that space.
Looks like a good time! I was hoping to make it, but we had plans with my wife’s family that I couldn’t weasel out of. Maybe next time you could come more down my way to one of the Speed Raceway locations...
So did you drive the Aston Martin 90 miles away AND fix it yourself? I think that’s what he’s getting at. The joy of the car is in the driving, even if you also enjoy the fixing.
I’ve seen a few of these for sale for really cheap and thought about doing this same thing. Don’t tempt me!
Yup. Still hooked up to a 27" TV in a room he hardly goes in. I wish I could afford to have a room for outdated electronics in my house.
I learn quickly though. My first qualification to pass when considering a birthday present for him is ‘Will I enjoy it?’
That’s better than my Dad. My favorite was ten years ago or so when he asked me if I wanted a DVD player for Christmas. He thought it was awesome, but I didn’t watch much TV or movies and told him I had no interest in that. So of course all I got for Christmas was a DVD player. It’s still hooked up to his TV.
I’ll bet that would work better for my wife. She loves Cheerios and many mornings they end up all over the house or her car. I think this is just practice for when we have a kid.
I’m not. I was looking to trade up until I found this was a standard feature on all models. I guess I’ll just have to deal with it.
Unfortunately, according to me and a couple of my friends, this wife quality comes standard.
Because it’s difficult to judge distance, it’s also difficult to judge speed. If that car had slowed to 10 mph, then I’d say it’s safe to pull in front of it. If it was still doing 35, then I definitely wouldn’t accept the turn signal at face value. The speed was probably in between somewhere, and unfortunately we…
Like many press events. Sure it’s terrible, but once I saw that it was Chevy I was imagining ‘Here’s the new Corvette! But sorry, the one we had to put on stage broke down, so we can’t show it to you.’
What? Why did I just waste 9 minutes watching a terribly-made video of an ordinary press event?
I agree. Budget for your hobbies, or you won’t have the discipline to stick with a good plan long term. If all you ever do is cut back and spend the bare minimum on necessities, odds are you’ll get tired of it and splurge beyond your means.
Haha, I didn’t even bring up Ferraris or Lambos or anything because I expect them to be confusing. Trying to remember how to change gears in a Ram that has a rotary knob on the dash while maneuvering in a tight parking lot is extremely frustrating. It makes perfect sense to look at, but when you’re focused on other…
