@tonyola: Completely agree! I once test drove a '79 Prelude 5 speed, and it was dreadful. Slushiest manual I've ever touched, handling was unimpressive, cheap feel overall.
I think that in the right hands, that car has potential. Currently, it's being wronged.

No, the reason they did this is because replacing a relay costs almost nothing and is as easy as replacing a fuse. It probably only cost them $2.5 mil. for the parts, and they can sneak it into oil change appointments with little to no labor overhead.
