Sounds like a perfectly good reason to have a bezel, so the screen is in a proper aspect ratio for the content that’s currently available and so the camera and other sensors can still exist without encroaching on that screen.

I still love the design of my Galaxy s8 active, no notch, but has a bezel that houses the camera. That said I imagine that a phone like this, no bezel and no notch will be the ultimate video watching experience, for phones anyways.

In related news there’s now an SQ8 with an uglier grille but compensated by a (Europe only, obviously) TDI 4.0-liter turbo-diesel V-8 making 429 horsepower and a whopping 664 lb-ft of torque.
