I remember running my PS2 overnight for days just farming B-spec races and selling the prize cars. I give that game and GT3 a whole lot of credit for getting me into cars.

I still fire up Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge from time to time. Those two games for me are just the epitome of arcade racers, and they’ve held up where the whole open world sandbox thing of Paradise has kind of worn a little thin in my opinion.

Make it camper and get it here before VWs electric Bus and then we’ll talk.

I think we can all agree that the styling of VW’s old logo was VERY period specific.

The whale tail really was what completed the 911 in my eyes. I couldn’t possibly have one of the air cooled cars without it. It would be super cool if they managed to work it into the new cars, and perhaps alongside that retro styled Targa roof the 991 had.

Consider, in the meantime, the Chevy Corvette Stingray, which is also mid-engined, makes only 80 horsepower less than the current 911 Turbo, and starts at about a third of the price ($55,900).

A V10 powered sport sedan is about as perfect sounding on paper as you could get. However, unless my wallet was filled with gold I wouldn’t own either, as much as I would love to.

The E46 M3 has aged really well in my opinion. I was so tempted to buy one for a while.

So it’s dull and the wheels suck, but it’s not overly revolting. If we really wanted to be disgusted at a Bangle-era Bimmer, a look at a 6-series or a 7-series is all it takes. Those were just bad on so many levels of lumpy weirdness.

That CSL is art. Even not that long ago(well sorta long ago, the E60 came out 15 years ago), their cars were sleek and handsome.

Apparently that front is actually going to be on the new M4 and maybe other 4-series trims if I’m not mistaken.

At this point Chevy should just bring back the front of the old Kodiak.

Honestly, the BMW actually looks pretty good. It’s at the very least a step up from whatever crack the design team has currently been smoking.

I think that works. Although I think that’s more of a testament to how good the front of the 917 looks, even when it’s got a little over ten feet of lumpy modern day LMP bolted to it.

This too is something I like to envision when I’m running Gr.1 races in GT Sport. Some of those VGT cars, particularly the less farfetched looking ones like the Bugatti would look right at home in a proper “Hypercar” LMP class.
