In this post-Succession world, eat-the-rich satire is a dime a dozen - but where else can you find Jennifer Coolidge massacring a group of gay mobsters?

Yeah, the 4:3 was another thing that made me think this was going to turn into some kind of horror episode. I honestly first thought it was something Hulu was doing.
That was a great lowkey episode. Lottie’s smile at the end was everything.
I felt like Mr. Chocolate was a mashup of Tyler Perry & Prince, but that could just be me. This whole season seems to be dialing in on how pop culture hero worship (Blueblood, D’Angelo, the white TikTok rappers, Mr. Chocolate so far) can make us distort the truth of ourselves to follow what seems to be a more…
I was working at a theater when this film came out, and what struck me at the time was audience reactions during the Sunday matinees. Usually that’d be old couples going to the movies together, i.e. the kind of audience who’d know the least about Japanese animated films. They walked out with big smiles, absolutely…
This was a movie I had no desire to see but when I did I was mesmerized and happy to have seen it. Beautiful to watch and a gripping, heartfelt story.
I’m not sure how this gets classified as a Newswire article, but it’s a good read nonetheless.
Blueblood was a nod to MF Doom, right?
I really liked Season 3 because it felt different, which totally makes sense when you leave Atlanta and fly to an entire different continent (don’t forget peak COVID filming mandates, so c’mon already). I like it when a show takes chances rather than settle for consistent journeyman plotting for future seasons.
That…
“I can’t tell if this is extreme, extreme pettiness..... or terrorism”.
There are two different types of hosts here, and the writers haven’t always done a good job of distinguishing them:
Bernard was a host created to be like Arnold based on Delores’ memories. Similar to how host William was created by Halores based on her memories of the human William. So neither were hybrids like James Delos or Caleb.
The handling of the Caleb storyline was just awful. I thought it was a questionable choice to kill off the only relatable human character on the show and make him a host, but going that route could have allowed them to address two mysteries that had been presented — why are some humans able to resist Hale’s…
I'm going with that she gave the body a series of preprogrammed commands for it to carry out when her pearl lost connection, fully remove pearl, stretch out arm, crush pearl. Not too big of a leap of logic.
Given the show hasn’t to my knowledge been officially renewed, this still works as a series finale. And maybe that’s not a bad thing. I say this because it did end somewhat optimistically. Sacrifices were made for a “greater good” and Dolores, based on her compassionate storylines for the firm early in the season are…
Fine. Good. Take time to make the movie better if you need it.
Plot armor is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
last week I was pretty worried about Van, now I'm extremely concerned that Earn seems to be having dreams about a guy with his name killing himself. this show is wild lmao
The cop saying “Whoa kid, I almost shot you!!” to Loquareeous when he hugged him, may be the best dark humor one-liner in tv history!
They proved that in episode 3, when Peacemaker couldn’t take the shot. I thought it was actually kind of sweet in a fucked up way when Vigilante took over.
