While I’d agree in most cases, these NL playoffs have taught me that anything but the conventional is game.

Member Lando Calrissian?

Easier said than done. Keep in mind that a lot of these GMs have pressure on them to both put together a successful season AND build for the future. In most cases, these are mutually exclusive goals - the real good GMs are able to accomplish both.

Game 2?

Yes.

He had some nasty stuff this evening, but the run support certainly helped him out (welcome to the playoffs at last, Yasmani Grandal!).

+1 Suh, dude.

Dodgers fan here. Can’t even be mad at that play. Kid is fun to watch.

One fateful pitch.

No doubt that there’s a risk of over-managing the game, but as a Dodgers fan, I’m much happier seeing unorthodox managerial decisions (some of which have not worked, but more of which have worked) than when we had dead-weight Mattingly managing our roster.

Gutsy call, but yea, ultimately backfired with the pitching match-up. Funny enough, Maddon had this to say when asked about whether he was surprised that Roberts made the decision to load-up for Montero:

And yet, he’s in line for manager of the year considering the Dodgers’ well-documented injuries this year. Pretty or not, it got him an NLDS title.

I’m not defending Roberts’ overall decision-making, but you failed to mention the reason that he did load the bases: to force Maddon into pinch hitting Aroldis Chapman and effectively remove him from the equation at the top of the 9th.

Same exact reservations that I have with Allo.

Javaris Crittenton. No, seriously.

In his defense, he did draw 3 walks in this series via HBPs.

But still.. that Culberson bunt was probably the worst thing I’ve seen this postseason from our Doyers, Baez’s bean ball notwithstanding.

The Kershank Redemption.

After last year’s atrocities, I never would have thought that I’d trust our bullpen more than our starters now a days.
