Sometimes you don’t need an answer to enjoy the story.

Sometimes I think people love the idea of the universe more than the movies that make up the universe. I rewatched the OT and I love them, but there’s some goofy stuff in there.
It was not on her to explain herself to Poe. It was on Poe to have faith in her leadership. As soon as he finds out her plan, he plans a mutiny. Because he thinks he knows better. He’d have done the mutiny earlier if she’d told him. That’s all. If he’d followed orders like everyone else in the Resistance, the plan…
They probably wish it was just like one of those boring-ass EU novels from the ‘90s.
Not lying, I was bored of Star Wars until this movie came along. I’ve been a mega fan since ‘77 but after TFA and ROgue One felt Lucasfilm was just playing to the fans’ expectations. Reliable od tropes (Rogue One was especially guilty of falling on tired tropes like the daddy dying in his daughter’s arms scene,…
Porgs are more delicious, though.
Yeah, this movie was great. I feel like it was a real shout out to those who love Star Wars. Played the games, from the tabletop to the consoles/PC, read the books, deep dived every comic book...this was for us. I can’t get over how sweet this movie was! Rey and Kylo’s scenes were intense!
Or — TFA was just a rehash of Star Wars! TLJ isn’t just a rehash of ESB!
We laughed. It was funny and in-character for Hux.
Fans pre-Dec. 15:
Did anyone in your theater laugh when General Hux immediately put his blaster away when Kylo Ren woke/got up? I’m just curious because I was literally the only one who did - and it was a very big laugh, too.
THANK YOU
Funnily enough, I loved this movie for the exact same reasons you hated it, my dude
I’m surprised and disappointed by the amount of negative fan reaction, especially in comparison to TFA, which I also enjoyed but was a much more flawed film.
Nope. Still don’t understand the appeal of that bloody show or why it gets so much coverage on here.
I do not think you would regret the time spent on this. I think it is a beautiful show from start to finish. The cast is top notch. I would agree with Akbar’s assessment. I would add that any sexy time generally serves the story. With the exception of one scene, none of it seems to be for the sake of sensationalism.
It’s a good show but it doesn’t really start to gell until halfway through the first season. The second ended with a bang, so it was sad when it was canceled. I kind of wish it could continue in comic form or it could be remade in the future.
Sense8 is a heck of a lot better than Jupiter Ascending, have no doubt whatsoever of that. It’s more like Cloud Atlas, but all happening at the same time and a more accessible.
Straight White Male: This is the best show I’ve ever watched on Netflix. Not only technically amazing but inspiring and beautiful in so many ways. I wish they didn’t cancel it. Every character is so good.
I want it revealed that sometime in the MCU’s past... THIS happened:
