only some of their models, which is super frustrating.  they have this really neat camera with an integrated solar panel that doesn’t support it which sucks

Jesus Christ, WTF is going on with that front end?

I agree that vehicles of this size and price point should never be subsidized.  Cube vans, straight trucks, highway tractors are bigger and harder to see out of.  Motorcycles for everyone it is.

Except this is a 9000 pound behemoth that is just as fast an an overpowered sports car. Probably faster. Basic physics apply here.

I really don’t understand why this is so much worse than so many of the cars we claim to love on here.

Heretic

Generally agree, but it isn’t impossible, you just have to use it carefully. The worse will have the mismatch but it does not disqualify all. Counter point:

Why did you do this to me!?!

That was better than the 5-lug, twin-3 spokes of the SN95. Possibly the most boring wheel Ford ever put on a Mustang.

These Corolla wheels trigger my OCD like none other

Please please please put him on the “No Fly” list so he’ll have to take the bus from Texas to DC like a common armadillo...

Ugh. I hate that people like the 996 now, so now I can forget the idea of owning one because we’ll never see them for sub-$10k like they once were. Can people stop “discovering” cool old cars from the 90's and 2000's already? It’s really disheartening to see every cool old car I could once afford turn into rich people

First, the article makes it seem like Porsche is out to redo the 996. They arent. This was a 1 of 1 commission by pca. That’s it. The only 996s getting crazy have been 4S and turbos. If you look at the auction trend on BaT, you’ll see it hasn’t gotten too crazy. (Yet)

The big problem with the 996 is the interior. The car is fine even if the base suspension is a little soft and the IMS of the non-turbos. Drives great, decent power and the 4S is a wicked good all season sports car. The 4S was great and had wonderful hips that actually gave the 996 proper figure.

Good news then. The 911 you wanted as a kid is the cheap one. The 911 I was dreaming of as a kid was an 88-94 in blue with tan leather and they cost about as much as a house.

That’s how you end up .4psi out of spec, and we all know where that leads.

They looked full though! Who needs a TPMS when you can eyeball it, amirite?

Carvana DID try to deliver me a BMW they said had a manual transmission which actually did not, but they were happy enough to swap it for one that DID have a stick and half the milage of the first one so I wasn’t upset about it.

I’d never buy from a place like carvana where the inability to haggle is somehow lauded as a good thing, but:
