This. A friend of mine once said: How many DIY guys do you know with a stable full of cars and all of them work perfectly?
Have one more car than you actually need if you are going to DIY everything.
GM is calling the shots in this.
Nice timing announcing this the day before lockup expires when Nikola insiders, including Trevor Milton, can sell their shares.
Pickup truck!
So which will arrive first?
This assumes it was ever alive.
I didn’t write that headline. "Fascinating" is what I went with.
Not really “mind blowing.” This is how ship builders have been refurbishing and retrofitting large vessels for over a century. Replacing coal fired boilers with oil, removing and replace nuclear reactors on subs and aircraft carriers etc. I’m guessing you’re just new to the world of large ship maintenance.
Mmm this is good content
Pro tip # 3 steelies edition: when I equiped our old 328i with the steelies I got the factory wheel covers to match so I zip tied them to the wheels so A. not easily stolen B. don’t get bounced off an errant potholes.
RWD with summers is not generally good, but all seasons if you’re a careful driver and can avoid the worst conditions is fine.
Traction is for cowards. I survived many winters in Cincinnati in RWD cars (G37 and M5) with summer tires year round. I would not recommend everyone do that, but I don’t think it excludes you from being a car enthusiast. (It does slide you down a few notches on the responsibility scale.)
Conti DWS are damn good in the snow.
I googled “Tire Rack tire rack” lol. This puppy’s $154.
Yes. It makes driving in the winter safer and more pleasant.
If you claim to be a car enthusiast (or a responsible person) and live in the snowbelt; if you don’t own snow tires you’re neither.
A BMW is never completely fixed. Once you finish fixing all you problems, new ones will pop up. Sometimes the first thing you fixed will re-break. I’m looking at you leaky PS lines.
And every time I have some asshole in a SUV tailing the hell out of me right up to a cloverleaf juncture and I don’t slow down I just down shift and see them squealing to keep it upright behind me it makes it all worth it.
