Transmissions definitely terrible in this car. Folks had a 96 with the 3.5L and luckily sold it while everything was fine. Later found out the guy that bought it had to have it replaced at 70k.

Folks had one when I was a kid, decent power out of the 3.5L, ton of room, solid mileage. Transmission made of paper however (dad was smart and sold it while it was still fine, found out later the guy who bought it had to have it replaced about at about 70k).

I don’t disagree with your assessment of the wheels (they are definitely hideous and the worst of any put on Pontiacs of that era), but I think some recent Honda products would give it a run for ugliest wheels of all time.

I think they use sand in CO instead of salt which likely goes a long way to staving off the rust. Could be wrong, however.

Accurate as my mother in law made that exact comment about the Ascent last week. She currently drives a 10 year old Commander though, so at least this would be an upgrade x1000.

Agreed with this. St. Mary’s made their own bed this year with their terrible schedule choices. MTSU did have opportunities though this year; they played Auburn, Miami, and USC on a neutral court and lost all three games by close margins. Had they won 2 of those 3 they may have had a pretty good shot.

Wouldn’t be so sure. This isn’t any different than Ben Simmons and LSU getting left out a couple years ago.
