Love it my laugh for the day!

Well this story is generating much mirth here in Ireland... Ruined by our dumb twat of a leader inviting your wizened orangey cockwomble to come visit...

Nope. Grew up Irish Catholic. There’s no way that is an Irish anything. We don’t forget the things that make us sad. We stew over that shit until our birthday and end up in a fistfight in the yard with Dad.

I’m conflicted. On the one hand, I’m 100% on her side and 100% opposed to the alt-right. On the other hand, her special was not good. I’m a fan of her show, and I liked her movie a lot, and I liked her previous special, but this one sucked, frankly.

Oh no, it’s DEFINITELY a problem here but we like to use things like ethnicity and skin color as a proxy for class instead of titles and family trees.

But you can see the vacuum that the lack of a figurehead has created in this country. If the national identity wasn’t so wrapped up in the president, we wouldn’t have the walking ball of toxic masculinity and anti-intellectualism in the White House. People straight-up admit that they vote for president based on who

We wonder the same thing about your tiny fisted Cheeto coloured tyrant. At least ours looks good in a tiara.

Wow. The sad part is, for the Trump administration this guy wouldn’t be an illegal, he’d be a go-getter with a success story.

The first undocumented worker I ever dealt with was an Englishman who mistakenly believed he could work for a Fortune 500 company in the US without a work visa. His boss hid him while having him work off the books until we could get a visa (back in the ‘90s when there were plenty of visas available).

God this woman is annoying. Donald Trump is a misogynistic asshole folks, but he isn’t a fascist.

You know what else I love? His entire administration is weak and lame! Not one of those Trump people have the balls to challenge the president when he is wrong, and they provide cover for his ridiculous lies! What a mealy-mouthed bunch of spineless strivers.

Your post is worth zero without a definition of what you think fascism is.

Just gonna leave this here:

I love it how these racist evil morons have the gall to judge people and their immigration statuses just by looking at them and drawing the most simplistic conclusions. Brown = immigrant, Speaks-With-An-Accent = immigrant. And then they proceed to just rub in the fact the US are being magnanimous in “letting” these

I think that’s the point. The “I’m not them” folks are still thinking they’d be the abolitionist and not the slave owner or complicit neighbor. They’d be the allies and not the good Germans or Nazi guard. They’d be the Freedom Rider and not the picnicker at the lynching. Those lies folks tell themselves can really be

It’s a masterpiece. Seriously. It’s absolutely brilliant. It did not pull any punches on the social commentary, and yet it was still a total pleasure to watch. And I’m SO EXCITED to hear that Peele has more “social horror” movie ideas!

I saw this movie this past weekend. It really works on so many levels - besides being a racial commentary piece, it also has hilarious comedy moments, touching personal dramatic ones, as well as the body-horror/psychological horror aspect. It’s pretty rare to see a single movie succeed so well in so many facets.
