But can they fix wooden acting, terrible dialogue, and overused CGI? I don't think editing works that way. What someone really should do is refocus the entire thing to center around Obi-Wan, because Ewan McGregor is the only good thing about those movies.

I don't envy the nerd-culture reviewers who basically have to see this movie just because it remakes a piece of late-80s pop culture kitsch. If not for nostalgia, this would be Troma levels of B-movie. Which would probably be way better because they'd get to be unabashedly corny about it.
