Yeah, I used to work in a prison outside of Palm Springs. During August, the monsoon humidity from Arizona monsoon drifts over to the California side of the desert, but rarely brings rain. What you’re left with are those high wet bulb temperatures and they are absolutely miserable. Even with 30% humidity at 120°, that…
This is where “wet bulb temperature” becomes very important. I remember reading this year that during a recent heatwave, wet bulb temperature... somewhere... was over 95 degrees F which basically means that evaporation cannot cool your body below that temperature. This is considered fatal.
“Companies are using invasive technology to violate the rights of our citizens in unthinkable ways,” Paxton said in a statement. “Our investigation revealed that General Motors has engaged in egregious business practices that violated Texans’ privacy
ATL’s pedestrian logistics are fine given there’s something like 200 gates - the only major issue I’ve run into there is security wait times can be unpredictably long. The layout’s pretty efficient in the secure area, and the Plane Train does its job admirably.
It is only free if you are running an Ad Blocker, otherwise it is paid for by the ad companies and we are the product not the article.
you want quality journalism, pay for it.
You get what you pay for. Coincidentally, Jalopnik, like most of the internet, is free.
The only company brave enough to keep building them like they used to.
It’s Texas. They’ll probably get a Freedom Trophy and tix to a Trump rally.
“Buddy, it’s not your fault your shitty truck is falling apart around you.”
I don’t even understand the appeal of this thing for NON-truck stuff. The flat panels make it look primitive to me rather than futuristic. Like it was built by a civilization that hadn’t yet figured out how to bend steel into more complex shapes.
I used a decade old Kia Sedona with the seats out to move thousands of pounds of rocks over a period of about 2 months, zero long term issues even with the suspension being totally flat out a few times. The Cybertruck is a worse truck than a budget minivan.
We’ve hauled 2500 lbs of cement blocks/gravel in my friend’s Chevy colorado ZR2 (overweight by about 700 lbs of load capacity before adding 4 people in the cab) and this shit didn’t happen lol.
My assumption is Elon is facing significant legal issues and he's buttering up Trump to call off the dogs/pardon his ass. My other thought, though less likely, is Elon hopes Trump will have Uncle Sam buy fleets of made in the USA Teslas.
Au Contraire! They love it when THE man in the Red Hat tells them what to think and do.
“You know, Elon, remember, I love electric cars, I think your car is great, I love it, but it’s not for everybody,” Trump said last month at an event in Florida.
This incalculably hurt Tesla more than it accomplished anything else. They are truly rolling maga hats at this point.
If there’s one thing the Red Hat contingent really loves, it’s people telling them what they should and should not do.
