I think the race is closer than the media is making it out to be, but I also think Biden will come out on top. Trump caters to his hardcore base but doesn’t do much in the way of courting new voters. I know its not a popular opinion, but I still think we need a modern battleship. Not bringing back the Iowa’s, as the manpower needed for those is silly, but a modern big gun ship to do the job the Zumwalt is supposed to do, but can’t.

Those guns aren’t going to be very scary, the ship would be sunk long before it got in range. They have basically no anti-sub defense, and minimal air defense (Phalanx system and men with Stinger missiles last time around). To ever use them against a near-peer, you’d need to defend it like a carrier, at which point…
