By “fictional historical drama”, I mean that Martin is more interested in the life in medieval times than the fantasy elements. Yes, he was inspired by some real events here and there, but that’s not what I was referring to.

Some people like their epic dramas to be a little visceral and bloody, some people like something a bit more PG. There’s room for both.
Star Wars and Star Trek are always compared to each other but probably shouldn’t be. I feel the same about these two: LOTR is (mostly) for the whole family and GOT is for adults only. Also, the former is about fantasy while the latter is essentially a fictional historical drama with fantasy elements peppered in it.
House of the Dragons: Rhaenyra leads criston cole on a wonderfully shot horse chase through the kingswood
Even Rhaenyra’s crush on Ser Criston Cole can’t lead anywhere good
I’ve never been paid in Bezos bucks, but I was just handed 400 Soros bucks, 200 Xi bucks, and 15.23 Biden bucks (he’s a tightwad) to laugh at what a silly chud you are.
How is it not written on her character? The Elves were alive since the dawn of time. All of them marched under Gil-galad's banner against Sauron. All of them fought against Morgoth. Sure they are fighters too. I don't see the issue.
Can’t wait for Amazon to re-write The Bible with a Virgin Mary Sue fighting dinosaurs and say “based on the sacred scriptures”
Galadriel isn’t the protagonist here anymore than Tyrion was on GOT (Rings of Power has 22 series regulars: it’s an ensemble). And again, this is based on the appendices (not books), in which she is very much present. And if your complaint is that she’s portrayed as a warrior, then your problem is, in fact, with what…
You’re an idiot
Oh grow up
Um, considering Hermione was a super smart badass fighting monsters in Harry Potter saving Harry’s and Ron’s asses throughout the books and movies, I’m listening. What happens next?
This is Tolkein. Trolls die when exposed to sunlight.
...but Hermione is a mega super bad bitch fighting monsters.
And the appendices are essentially textbooks; there’s no main character to “now” be anything.
The thing is, Galadriel (and all Elves) *can* fight. Why couldn't Galadriel have been mega super bad bitch in her youth?
“Triggered snowflakes” has been obvious self-projection for a few years now. These are people with the smallest of minds and the narrowest of views, who take grave offense of anything that offends their worldview at the drop of a hat. Years ago, one in a thousand would write an angry letter to the Times, but the…
Oh man, he’s onto us guys! Somehow he’s figured out the reviewer and all the positive comments here are being paid for by Amazon! Quick, delete his comments!
People upset about the skin color of fictional characters of a fictional race in a fictional, magic-themed universe?
Exactly. It’s very very hard to trust crowd sourced reviews anymore because it’s far too easily manipulated. Especially if you’re just going by stars because you’ll often see things like ‘Product is great, but the delivery was a day late. One star!’ How does that help anyone?
Audience reviews for shows and movies are unfit for purpose these days. Either it’s fake reviews on Amazon for products or it’s review bombing on RT. Find a professional critic or product reviewer you trust instead because audience reviews are garbage.
