I wonder sometimes if there’s just one Extremely Divorced Guy on here with lots of accounts, or if AV Club is just the new hot hangout for bitter divorcees.

I’m just waiting for the inevitable Ava-Tár crossover.
Well, thank god we have you to save us from the scourge of women oppressing us all with their filthy lies.
A fake composer featured in a faux-biopic claimed to train under a real composer in the film. The real composers family decided to roll with it and announce the character really did train under their father as a joke, despite the fact that this entire movie is completely fictional.
Might be an unpopular opinion in the fandom, but Grogu’s return has me less excited about S3. I was surprised Disney had the guts to kill its darling and ride him off into the sunset.
Just combine them into one super-show called Mandor.
You’re absolutely right. If you loved Andor and the way it presents a Star Wars universe, featuring unremarkable people doing remarkable things under the oppressive boot of the Empire, then you aren’t going to connect with a ‘Mandalorian’ or a ‘Boba Fett’ show where everything seems like an easier win while notable…
My mum would like to remind you that I’m the world’s handsomest little man.
“Man who pays me is nice,” says man
Taylor Swift often writes songs with characters with names that could go be male or female, then writes about what clearly could stand-in for queer longing, then waits a little and is like “they’re straight”...that’s queerbaiting. Harry Styles plays to homoeroticism, but he is not actually interested in it, he is only…
In related news, I stepped over some dogshit earlier, rather than walking directly into it. So I can definitely understand Cate Blanchett’s impulse here!
This headline was confusing to me because I’ve always seen queerbaiting defined as hinting at a character’s or characters’ queerness but never confirming it. There ought to be another word for a straight actor playing an explicitly queer character. Queerface might work if it didn’t sound so much like a 1980s junior…
John Cena’s loosely improvised “80 celebrities” scene was one of the funniest things on TV last year.
I wonder if the real problem a lot of these folks have is the bait and switch of Bill. They saw Nick Offerman, a true man’s man, with a bunker and guns. He doesn’t trust the government, preps for the apocalypse and doesn’t trust outsiders.
Any excuse to post this gif though.
Obligatory:
Honestly, as someone who has trouble limiting his time gaming (and going to comment sections to talk about gaming) I can respect this approach.
You get to choose how you spend your time.
Great.
Now tell them you’re not doing the next season until Will gets a decent haircut.
Wow, already working hard on earning that “2023 Award for Biggest Piece of Shit Commenter”. Way to get a head start. (And congrats on your 2022 win!)
