I started re-watching it before Netflix updated it and was shocked at how bad the early episodes looked. I knew those episodes had rougher animation but it looked especially bad on Netflix and now I know why.

We didn’t actually see him, but the Russians referenced an offscreen “American” whom viewers assumed was Hopper cause it seemed so obvious. So obvious that some, like me, suspected that it may have been a misdirect.
