Wow, I was not expecting so many unearthed secrets this early in the season. Thanks, Madeline and daughters!

I appreciated your joke.
I hated how meta Tyrion’s dialogue was and how it basically made him a mouthpiece for the writers.
Ellaria and Yara were 100% on board with attacking King’s Landing.
Right, there’s no way anyone could have legitimate issues with the writing. They’re just grumps!
Is anyone arguing that Dany should be trusted with a kingdom? I didn’t want anyone on the throne and was looking forward to Dany being humbled at some point, yet I don’t feel like the writing earned Varys turning on Dany or the later’s genocide of King’s Landing.
I seriously doubt Martin intends for Dany committing genocide to be a “twist.” It should be an organically developed and clear character arc.
Varys seemed to have died instantly. At point-blank range it just incinerates.
The lesson for Dany was that conquering and ruling are two different things, not that she was wrong for upending their way of life or challenging their moral standards.
Sorry, but moral relativism is bullshit. By your logic, slavery would continue endlessly in Essos because #notallslaveowners.
I’m waiting for a savvy video editor to overlay the audio from this onto a clip of her torching King’s Landing.
Oh fuck this “they were decent to their slaves” apologist nonsense.
And the only way to rule by fear was to just burn all the civilians? I’d think utterly obliterating the current queen and all her forces in a single day would accomplish the same goal.
If she’s just gonna start intentionally bombing innocent civilians when she doesn’t need to, then yeah! She has never done anything that even approaches that. You can’t have her “madness” go from like 15 to 100 in the span of two episodes.
It’s disappointing to see so many posts in the AV Club commentariat dismissing anyone who takes issues with the show’s writing as “fanboys” or “haters” or suggesting that they “haven’t been paying attention.”
Theon was ugly-hot, which is definitely a thing.
Why would she ever help Cersei?
I’ll never understand people who do this nor do I want to understand them.
Wow, AI really CAN be dangerous!
That might be more exciting if the writing, especially for the political scheming, hadn’t taken a nose-dive once they ran out of book material.
