I just listened to Jenn's RHAP exit interview and it seems that Dan actually believes that flippers never win crap. So even though he was at the bottom of 6 and could have been part of a four he wouldn't do it because he didn't want to flip on his alliance. What an idiot.

I don't think Dan is playing with his emotions I think Dan just isn't aware of a lot of what's actually going on. He's demonstrated pretty low levels of awareness through out the season.

Yes. Plus I think they didn't want to show their winner as being the leader of an alliance the fell apart (it's not uncommon for the edit to shield winners from stuff like that). Though that's a bit of speculation on my part.
