The money demands thing is total BS (probably on Heidik's part). According to Mark Burnett there were only two people that they actually wanted for All-Stars that turned it down. Colleen and Elizabeth. Survivor wanted nothing to do with Brian because of the whole porn thing, Probst hating him, etc.

To be fair production picks their clothing. I read her post show interviews a little bit ago and apparently she tried to talk him out of it. But once it was clear he didn't know anything about the show she thought he would be a good pawn. Though she completely took credit for the awful lie.

I get that they would cut it out because it would kind of ruin the tension. I think if it was a more obvious boot they might have left it in. Would love to see it as a secret scene though.
