NASCAR is more about entertainment than sport these days, otherwise the Chase wouldn’t exist. It’s doing the exact opposite as it was set out to do with TV ratings dwindling and track attendance getting worse.

Sadly this kind of thing is being passed on to the current generation of fans as “good short track racing”. As someone that has been around short track racing my entire life of 32 years, I feel that I can safely say that it is not good short track racing.
