No. It’s 100% on point. The films are often too focused on pew-pew space battles and big-budget VFX...often to the detriment of what makes Star Trek, well, Star Trek — exploration, character relations, the human condition, etc, etc.

They need to move on to the next century just as TNG did. It will breathe new life into the series and open up all kinds of directions that they can go in.
This rant may have gotten away from me.
Star Trek has never been particularly successful as a film franchise. Oh, it’s had a few hits, but adjusting on its ratio for hits and misses, well, they’ve been at their best when they’ve been at their lowest budgets. (TWOK famously shot on roughly a TV production budget)
I wouldn’t mind seeing the Kelvin cast again, as long as they chose to another episodic style adventure like Beyond, though they really really need to lower the stakes. I’d like them to take a chance on a wild story idea like Voyage Home (without copying that plot).
But here’s the thing, elsewhere I saw Paramount…
Hilarious, huh? You think they’re hilarious? What, like a clown, here to amuse you?
We can only hope there is a second robot and that William Sanderson (of Blade Runner fame) is the builder. The entire film hinges on him delivering one line.
Space Battleship Yamato
Captain Harlock.
...Interstella 5555?
The Expanse! Miller and his hat. Protomolecule Julie. Bobbie in the Goliath armor. Chrisjen in one of her fabulous outfits, but also the “skin of my enemy”racing suit. Drummer with the mech legs. Ashford smirking.
Man, Robin Hood is so good. The animation is so full of motion and artistic merit on its own, and while I’m not sure why the Bard has such a thick American accent, it is a wonderful little ditty.
“Wabbit season!”
Woah woah woah, no one calls Rick a “b player” in my presence. That man’s apron game is sooooo strong.
It was a troubled production. It got green lit on Monday, they announced a director and cast the following two days. But then over the next few days production problems piled up rapidly, and by Sunday the studio had pulled the plug and buried it. And that was the end of Solomon Grundy.
It’s never been “Han shot first,” goddammit.
I do not understand how this works, but will try it at some point anyway.
Absolutely dill and amazing with cheddar cheese as well.
YES
I’m pro pickles-on-most-things.
Peanut butter and pickles. Dill chips. Go a little heavy on the pickles because the PB is thick and tends to overpower everything else.
given the chance he chews the scenery like no other.
This has not been confirmed so I don’t believe it. Earth 2 Harry easily could have opened a portal to take him & Jesse to another earth
