No I just do mental gymnastics to try and forget.

The best Scottish accented Russian submarine thief ever.

And he proved, in the end, there can be only one.

That raked front end is what truly sells this, it is a design choice that just sells motion. All the little touches like the hubcaps and white letter on the tires.  And it so needs Navajo blanket inspired seat upholstery.

I found it quirk in a really good way, I always liked when he was short of cash, he’d buy a lottery ticket and win just enough to cover what he owed.

Thank you for the info.  I only remember CSI from being on Thursday, but that all makes sense.

It was always just an empty threat, I always had a feeling that Michael had more leverage than he realized, that it wasn’t as easy as just swapping in another brain.  But damn Dennis Haysbert wasn’t just fantastic making those threats, and hearing him do ads for AllState always reminds me of it.

Thank you so much for bringing up Now and Again. I was used to Fox cancelling shows just as they got good or interesting (Space Above and Beyond Strange Luck, etc), but I expected two seasons out of a show on CBS. If I remember right it got canceled in favor of a remake of the Fugitive which also got cancelled with

It is not that they are idiots, but that the bean counters and the marketing people have more power than the creatives. Selling a movie and keeping the books straight are important, don’t get me wrong, but with out the “show” it is just “business”.  If you are in it for the business, go sell toasters or what ever.

The mega budgets are not helping. Star Trek is, at its core, about people. It is about the human adventure, and they don’t need huge budgets for that.

The man deserves an Honorary Oscar, hundreds of films credits, and he is always solid.

Peacock is going to need content and I can not think of a better thing than NBC/Universal hiring him to make a Frankenstein miniseries.  I think streaming is a better model for his idea of Frankenstein from multiple points of view.  On the other hand, I totally understand having it as his dream and have it out there.

Des-lock, Deslock, Deslock, Deslock, Des-lock.... (It doesn’t look written out as good as it sounds in the ears of 11 year old me watching StarBlazers)

So totally want Captain Avatar (I know he is Captain Okita, but I grew up on StarBlazers)

They put out Major League Funkos, but somehow they did not put out Jobu.

When it comes to descriptions of fictional food the dishes described in the Redwall novels have to right up there.

The big reveal in Rise of Skywalker will be that it totally isn’t Khan (Narrator:  It’s Khaaaaaannnnnnn!)

What makes the Black Hole stand out is the magnificent matte paintings. The space depicted in this movie is lush, purply-black.  Some one else mentioned that the first third is very good, and I agree.

I have Hulu, and I signed up for Disney+ on my AppleTV using the same email but there is no place to indicate that I want the bundle. What am I missing?

Makunke is Rodese for Fake News or Covfefe or something
