Frankenstein (Hartman), Tonto (Lovitz), and Tarzan (Nealon) singing Christmas carols is a gift to the world.

The various Troy McClure bits are just the best.

Yeah, but to me that was like a name drop, they could have easily edited the scene out and no one would have known.

ST:TNG ran into that and I think they navigated it as best they could, and waited until the 3rd season for the Sarek episode. By that time the show was on firm footing with established characters and a few well made episodes under their belts. I hope the powers that be give them the time to do the same for the new

Cue the Oh the Huge Mainetee meme with a giant crinkle cut fry instead of the manatee

You magnificent bastage and your farging star.

I know Axanar is like Voldemort (the show that must not be named), but the Prelude to Axanar test film had a great idea, essentially the Star Trek version of the History Channel, little one off mockumentaries on stuff mentioned through out the series that is not worthy on a series, but one episode would be good.

I think an Office/IT crowd style would be good in a Federation government office rather than Starfleet.

I think an animated show is a good option to be able to have an epic TNG/DS9/VOY crossover or even a multi generational thing like they do on Doctor Who with the 5 Doctors etc.  Come up with storyline where it begins in ENT and ends in the TNG era, they don’t all have to interact but there could be essentially one

They need to sign up Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis and get the first Star Trek sitcom started: The Rikers. They have joked about it on the Con circuit, but we all know it would be awesome.

True on your points, but those points are why I think it could be such a better fit for Peele, you have that Serling pedigree, but not so much of the baggage.

I was discussing this with my son this weekend. It is the same problem with Star Wars being all about the Skywalkers. If you have a different Vulcan, you can have the same story beats, and you can pull in Sarek because it is logical that a Vulcan raising a human would seek advice from a Vulcan who raised a half

With Peele’s past year with Get Out, he should have brought back Serling’s Night Gallery instead.  TZ has been resurrected a few times, I think the timing is better for Night Gallery.  Something spooky, scary, with a dash of thought provoking.

😀

While doing some historical research for a college class, I came across an article in an old newspaper (1870's-1880's) about a so-called ship in the southwest, found in a cave. I made a copy of the page and I have it some where. There was no author to the article, and I figured it was just a filler article and

If they are going to have it be a beefier Escape, they should call it Escape Velocity, that way you have brand recognition, and it is obvious it is a different model. Baby Bronco conjures up the notion of the Bronco II. And thank the noodlely maker that they are moving away from the idea of calling the electric SUV Ma

Ham is tasty, but a good pork shoulder, flaked rather than minced, is quite nice and offers up a slightly different flavor profile. (sorry for the use of the term flavor profile in a discussion of ham salad)

Just gonna have to offer the often said quote (attributed to Picaso, but disputed, and, ironically, itself possibly stolen from T. S. Elliot) “Good artists borrow, great artists steal.”

He has finally gotten a chance to be an archaeologist, and he has been pulled into a hunt for a box of mythic power and must prevent it from falling into the hands of a rising Fascist group. Vash is along for the ride.
