Same here. I’ve got zero interest in playing but I read every post here about the game.

Holy cow, I think I bought these on sale for like $150 4-5 years ago. Prices are crazy these days.

I wish Kinja had an anti-rec just for your ridiculous tone. What a douche.
Yes, short term sitting on a dozen consoles. Totally possible, especially now with Christmas shopping coming up. But the people who think there’s already enough supply to meet demand if not for scalpers sitting on warehouses full of them? Those people are lunatics.
That’s not how demand works. You don’t increase real, functional, actionable demand for an item like this by jacking up the price. Every one of the people buying from a scalper just really want the console. They’d have bought one for retail without a second thought. They didn’t magically decide they needed a PS5 just…
I think I see what happened. You lost track of the convo early on. This isn’t about how much scalpers charge for consoles. This is about how many consoles are sold and for what price by Sony. Sales figures from Sony don’t give a shit what scalpers are reselling them for. If the scalpers weren’t there the sales figures…
Wut? No, I’m not saying scalpers don’t exist. I’m saying scalpers sitting on a huge stash of consoles just to drive up price don’t exist. Keep up.
Weirdos.
This is ridiculous faulty logic. Get off of facebook or wherever you’re seeing this. Scalpers don’t generate demand. They take advantage of the demand that exists by hijacking supply. The demand is there regardless, meaning the units would have sold. They’d just have sold to the consumer directly instead of through an…
What’s the end game for these mythical scalpers that are sitting on consoles? Sony isn’t going to stop making the things. They’ll eventually be easier to get no matter what. And then what, scalpers will have warehouses full wasted money?
So you’re positing that if scalpers weren’t buying them, they wouldn’t have sold? I think that’s faulty logic. Scalpers wouldn’t be buying them if they weren’t being easily resold. The demand is there, the consoles would have sold if scalpers didn’t exist.
We see this sort of thing in the nuclear industry too. We use lots of old tech. Often VERY old, because it simply works and doesn’t require extensive validation. But it means we’re often scrounging the internet’s dustbins for parts because vendors stopped manufacturing them literally decades ago. At one site I support…
Glen Howerton is Waluigi and I will accept no substitute. He’s got a better voice for the character and he even looks like him (which in my opinion seems to help make the voice work for this kind of thing). And come on, the rapport with Devito with their years of work together on IASIP? Perfect! Adam Driver is all…
But they aren’t claiming authenticity. It’s a fictional story starring a fictional character.
Huh, how did I misread that? Guess I should have gone and checked the section again after getting through the rest of the article.
Finding photos from messages isn’t hard in iOS14. Go to the relevant message thread, tap on the person at the top, and tap on “info”. You’ll see some recent photos right off the bat, and you can open up all photos from that thread as well. Sounds like iOS15 may streamline things a bit, but it was far from hard before.
You may be able to accomplish this with the sleep settings. I know it allows for a varying schedule, and I think it can control when to go into DND. Probably doesn’t help if you want to use DND regularly during the day though.
Man I wish they’d kept Mythbusters going. The last two seasons when they pared it down to just Adam and Jaime again and went for bigger myths with more detail on the methodology/builds were really great.
Ignore the pineapple advice. Pineapples do not continue to ripen after picking. Once they’re picked they stop ripening, period. The only thing you’re doing by leaving the pineapple on the counter after buying it is letting the exterior color change, but that doesn’t change anything about the interior fruit.
This recommendation is bunk. Pineapples do not continue to ripen after picking, whether they’re on the counter or in the fridge, no matter the orientation. They do change color slightly, but it has zero impact on the pineapple itself. I’m not sure where Sarah got her info, but it doesn’t take long to find info from…
